Chain oiler for the Ducati Multistrada 1260

Installation report by Guzziwerker

Ducati Multistrada 1260 – year of manufacture 2018

This is how Guzziwerker solved the installation – unfortunately we cannot guarantee that it works correctly, as we were not able to check the installation ourselves.

Oil reservoir 60 ml

Placed under the seat, behind the fuses. Because of the almost horizontal position, the variable reservoir vent was used.

Metering valve

The metering valve was stuck to the shock absorber cover under the seat with mounting tape.

Nozzle

Glued to the underside of the swingarm (cleaned with acetone beforehand). The line was then routed along the brake line to under the seat. Protected with a heat protection sleeve in the upper section because of the proximity to the exhaust header.

Switched 12 V supply

Tapped at the rear socket of the onboard electrical system. If you want to keep using the socket, you can also tap the positive with a branch connector or solder it directly.

Rain switch

I integrated the rain switch directly into the fairing. That way it stays clearly in view while riding.

Control unit

The control unit can be mounted between the frame and the plastic tray under the seat. Fixing it with a cable tie (hole drilled) still allows the unit to be operated later. The remaining cables can be stowed at this spot as well.
