On the machine there is a connection at the front right in the frame triangle, whose blind ends can be fiddled open. I then connected the control wire via Posi-Tap connectors; the negative is not used (the horn strangely did not work). The 12 V connection is made via the adapter already present for the CTEK charger, with an AMP Superseal adapter; I also crimped an AMP connector onto the connecting lead of the control unit. Cable routing forwards on the left along the frame under the fuel tank, secured with Ducati frame rubbers.
