This installation report shows the CUMPAN fitted to the Suzuki DR-Z4S – with tachometer and oil temperature gauge.
Installation report by Harald
Suzuki DR-Z4S – year of manufacture 2025
This is how Harald solved the installation – unfortunately we cannot guarantee that it works correctly, as we were not able to check the installation ourselves.
Display
Several options: either with the flat mount on the handlebar facing the mirrors (e.g. if a GPS device is used as well), on the handlebar with the standard display mount, or directly on the top yoke.
Power supply
Behind the headlight mask there is a factory-fitted switched 12 V supply. The required connector is included. The CUMPAN is then connected according to the wire colours.
Engine temperature 1
Temperature sensor for the oil temperature gauge.
Sensor used: M10×1,25
The oil temperature is measured at the front of the engine case in the direction of travel. The temperature sensor is well protected by the frame and sits directly in the oil bath.
RPM
Tapping the RPM signal for the tachometer.
[SENS] setting: Sensor BIKE, Damping 250
The wire carrying the RPM signal runs above the cylinder head, below the fuel tank. There is a two-pin connector there with a blue and a green wire. The RPM signal is on the green wire and can be tapped with the RPM signal tap supplied.
