Want to learn how to wheelie without ending up flat on your back? That's exactly what the ABS Wheelie Bar 3 by SB MOTO is for. It mounts to your swingarm and rear brake lever and pulls the rear brake automatically the moment the front comes up too far. In other words: you give it throttle, find the balance point – and the bike catches you before it flips over backwards.
And you don't have to buy one to get started. You rent the trainer for your learning phase – start with one 2-week period, and if you need more time at the balance point, it simply keeps running.
What's in it for you
- Automatic rear brake catches you before you loop out
- Adjustable trigger height – from a careful tap to the real balance point
- First get the throttle clean, then feather the rear brake – one step at a time
- Rent instead of buy: you only pay for the time you're actually training
- Light and quick to mount on swingarm and brake lever
- Fits just about every Enduro and Supermoto
How it works
The trainer sits on the swingarm and is linked to the rear brake lever. When the front reaches the set height, the rear brake kicks in on its own and brings the front wheel back down – even if you don't brake in time yourself in the heat of the moment. That way you work your way up to the balance point step by step and raise the trigger height as soon as you feel more confident.

5 steps to your wheelie
- Order: the first rental period (69 €), the deposit (350 €) and shipping are charged together.
- Unbox: the device comes with mounting hardware, fitting instructions and a prepaid return label. The rental time starts on the delivery day.
- Mount: fit it as per the instructions, set the trigger height – ready to train.
- Send back: hand the device in at the post office in its original packaging with the enclosed label. The rental time ends on the day it's handed in.
- Deposit back: 3 days after we receive it, minus any extension rent that has accrued.
Extension, deposit and return
If you don't send the device back within the period, the rental automatically extends by another 2 weeks at 50 € each. On return, the accrued rent is offset against the deposit and the rest is refunded. Extensions are billed via an invoice correction.
Example: a return after 10 weeks equals 5 rental periods. The first period (69 €) is already paid, the four further periods (4 × 50 € = 200 €) are offset against the deposit. The refund then comes to 150 €.
Note on non-return: if the device is not sent back after the sixth rental period (12 weeks) has elapsed, it is deemed purchased. In that case the deposit is retained as the remaining payment.
Condition and damage
The rental device is checked, serviced and repacked after every rental; its condition is documented before shipping and after return. Usual wear on the roller and the mechanism, as well as plain scratches without any loss of function, are free of charge. Only damage that impairs the function of the device is chargeable – in particular damage from crashes or incorrect mounting.
Safety – short and honest
Wheelies carry a risk of crashing and injury, and not even the best trainer changes that. The automatic rear brake lowers the risk of being thrown backwards – but it doesn't rule out a crash. You should practise on suitable, closed-off ground, not on public roads. Wear a helmet and protective gear, and the mounting has to sit cleanly as per the instructions so the system does what it's meant to.
