Suzuki V-Strom 650XT – year of manufacture 2021

oil reservoir 60 ml

Oil reservoir lightly wedged in the tool compartment next to the charcoal canister and secured with the original rubber ring. The variable reservoir vent will be retrofitted. To the left of the reservoir, the switched positive for the fog lights / switchable ABS module from Heßler was already tapped from the brown wire of the taillight.

metering valve

Attached to the frame behind the fairing at battery height with a cable tie. The hose from the metering valve to the nozzle is covered with a protective sleeve. Leave the hose brackets clear.

nozzle

At the rear sprocket, outer side, hose routed under the swingarm. In front of the rear sprocket it is attached to the inside of the swingarm with the adhesive bracket.

switched 12 V supply

Cut the wire for the fog lights / ABS-off module mentioned above. Splice in the black-white wire from the control unit using a heat-shrink sleeve with a solder joint. Visible to the left of the metering valve.

rain switch

On the left-hand side of the handlebar. Next to it on the right, the switch for the fog lights (green); on the outside, the switch for the ABS-off module (red).

control unit

Under the seat, on the left in the direction of travel next to the oil reservoir and behind the brace with the seat latch, attached to the frame with a cable tie. The adjustment potentiometer can be reached from the rear.

On the outside of the rear sprocket. Carefully drill the supplied aluminium clamp out to 6 mm and secure it with an M6x40 Allen bolt.
