Chain oiler for the Triumph Street Scrambler
Installation report by TriScra
Triumph Street Scrambler – year of manufacture 2018
This is how TriScra solved the installation – unfortunately we cannot guarantee that it works correctly, as we were not able to check the installation ourselves.
Oil reservoir 60 ml
At the rear under the black plastic cover. The oil reservoir then already has the right tilt to fill it completely. Either the pillion seat or the luggage rack is mounted on this cover. The large reservoir fits as well (it would have to be mounted diagonally in the compartment).
Metering valve
Under the left side cover. It was attached with double-sided tape to the outside of the battery box. Two connectors sit at this spot (white/unused and black, completely sealed in film), which have to be moved over into the corner on the right.
Nozzle
Attached with the small aluminium clamp under the swingarm at the rear end. There is already a hole there from the factory. Only an M6 thread has to be cut. The hole in the aluminium clamp then has to be filed out a little!
Switched 12 V supply
At the rear, tapped under the black plastic cover on the yellow wire for the taillight. This photo also shows the exact position of the oil reservoir, which was secured with cable ties and a small plastic plate, as well as the complete wiring with all connectors.
Rain switch
The rain switch was attached on the left-hand side of the handlebar, on the clutch lever assembly. It is easy to operate there at any time.
Control unit
The control unit was pushed into a rectangular fitting already present on the right-hand side of the frame and secured with a cable tie. The potentiometer for setting the metering quantity is very easy to reach. The complete wiring is located under the black plastic cover, including all connectors (metering valve and rain switch). Everything is very well protected there against external influences (rain, for example).
