Tachometer for the Mercedes-Benz Unimog 403 (U 66)

This is how Waldmann solved the installation – unfortunately we cannot guarantee that it works correctly, as we were not able to check the installation ourselves.
Display
Integrated into the dashboard, cable routed through an existing hole.
Power supply
Left-hand fuse box in the engine compartment, fifth fuse from the left. 12 V switched live via the ignition switch. Earth on the frame. (Earth / positive).
Engine temperature 1
Temperature sensor for the oil temperature gauge.
Sensor used: M18×1,5
Replaces the existing bleed screw on the oil filter (it is a blanking plug). No need to drain the oil.
RPM
Tapping the RPM signal for the tachometer.
[SENS] setting: Sensor UNI, Count 13
On the alternator, terminal W – a green wire here. The RPM calibration was checked with a timing light and matches very well.
