The luggage rack for the HUSQVARNA 701 continues the line of the trellis frame and is powder-coated in the HUSQVARNA colours blue, white and black.
The luggage rack is made entirely of stainless steel and weighs 500 g. During development, the low vehicle weight of the HUSQVARNA 701 was taken into account without limiting touring and everyday use.
Mounting takes place at the attachment points of the standard pillion grab handles. Pillion capability is retained when the luggage rack is fitted.
An additional cross brace in front of the fuel filler cap keeps the luggage load off the fuel filler cap. The seamless transition to the seat allows larger items of luggage to be carried.
Most of the luggage load is carried by the original attachment points on the rear frame in a vertical direction and by the seat. This reduces the load on the threaded inserts in the original plastic subframe.
When using quick-release tie-down straps, the additional effort required when refuelling is only slightly greater than removing a tank bag.
Note
The luggage load should rest evenly across the entire luggage rack. If only the area behind the fuel filler cap is loaded, the load should not exceed 2 kg.
The luggage rack is not designed for use with a top case.
Luggage racks do not require registration or general type approval (ABE) in Germany.
