Full control – at any time:
The MOFESSOR enables precise control of the lubrication amount in 10 levels. Thanks to intuitive operation via rotary dial, the oil supply can be adjusted exactly to motorcycle type, intended use and route conditions.
More flexibility in Expert Mode:
In addition to the preset levels, the integrated Expert Mode allows free programming of individual lubrication intervals – for maximum adaptability to your setup.
Rain? Off-road? No problem.
With Rain Mode, the oil amount can be temporarily increased while riding at the touch of a button – ideal for wet or heavily soiled routes. An LED indicator shows the active status.
Intelligent temperature compensation:
The MOFESSOR continuously measures the ambient temperature and automatically adjusts lubrication performance. This ensures that the optimal oil amount is always dispensed regardless of weather and season – whether midsummer or near freezing.
Well-thought-out mounting. Lasting effect.
Thanks to an innovative fastening system, the oil line and nozzle can be installed easily and securely. The transparent oil tank allows fill-level monitoring at any time – refilling is conveniently done via a freely placeable filling port.
More performance, less wear:
The MOFESSOR reduces friction, extends the service life of chain and sprockets, and ensures consistently optimal chain tension. The result: noticeably less maintenance effort, more power at the rear wheel – and reduced fuel consumption.
Range as needed:
- + approx. 5,000 km (60ml tank)
- + up to 10,000 km (120ml tank)
Practical down to the detail:
- ✓ many model-specific connection plugs
- ✓ large archive of installation examples
- ✓ compatible with all common motorcycle types
Technical Concept
The MOFESSOR is based on an electronically controlled gravity system: an electromagnetic metering valve opens automatically, precisely and time-controlled during operation. When the ignition is switched off, the valve remains closed – for absolute safety without oil loss.
Using lubricating oil instead of chain spray reduces dirt adhesion and significantly simplifies cleaning. Lubrication is more uniform and effective – for a smooth riding experience on every kilometer.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are there any test reports? What has been the experience so far?
- The MOFESSOR has been on the market since spring 2017 and has reliably covered many thousands of kilometers on a wide variety of motorcycles. On our test bench, we carried out an endurance test simulating 100,000 km without any issues. External experience reports can be found, among others, here: ttmotorbikeblog.wordpress.com and motorradreisefuehrer.de.
- In the issue TOURENFAHRER March 2024, a detailed comparison and test of chain oilers including our MOFESSOR chain oiler was published. The MOFESSOR received the award “Price Tip”.
Is the system waterproof?
- Our system was designed for motorcycles that are exposed to environmental influences. We took this into account during development. The rain sensor is certified to IP67, the control unit is potted inside the housing to be waterproof and vibration-resistant. The metering valve as well as the rain sensor are equipped with a waterproof connector. The system is not suitable for submersion. The MOFESSOR was tested on properly used off-road motorcycles that were exposed to increased amounts of dirt and water.
Which motorcycles does the chain oiler fit?
- The MOFESSOR chain oiler was developed so that it can generally be used on all chain-driven motorcycles. Many typical installation situations were considered to make installation as easy as possible for the user. Since each vehicle has its own geometry, the installation location and connection options still need to be selected individually. If you have any questions, we are happy to provide advice.
Are there model-specific installation guides?
- The range of model-specific installation guides is continuously expanded and published on our support page. You are welcome to provide us with your installation guide.
Do I need a model-specific connector?
- If your motorcycle has a special switched connector available, the MOFESSOR can be connected using a model-specific connector. Alternatively, for example, the horn or the tail light can be used.
Dimensions of control unit and metering valve:
What voltage/current does the chain oiler require?
- The MOFESSOR operates on 12 V. Current consumption:
- Switching current: 20 mA (0.02 A)
- Supply current: 500 mA (0.5 A)
How can the chain oiler be connected electrically?
- The MOFESSOR is connected to the battery and a switched 12 V line. Suitable connectors are available, or alternatively connection options e.g. at the horn. Guidance
Are problems with CAN bus or LED lights to be expected?
- No – the MOFESSOR does not affect the electrical system. No CAN bus problems are known.
Where is the application nozzle mounted?
- Possible on the front sprocket or the rear sprocket. On the rear sprocket, consumption is lower and the effect is better. A secure, protected installation is important.
Does the long-distance tank fit my motorcycle?
- Range: ~5,000 km (standard) / ~10,000 km (long-distance)
What is the purpose of the variable tank vent?
- If installed at an angle or at high lean angles, oil may escape through the vent. The tank vent reliably prevents this.
How do I find the correct oil quantity setting?
- Start with level 1 and increase step by step after 50 km. Changes become visible after approx. 200 km. The goal is a thin, continuous lubricating film.
How can I tell if a chain is well lubricated?
- Only the chain rollers need to be lubricated (not the side plates).
- A greyish lubricating film on the rollers indicates sufficient lubrication.
- Dark spots or shine indicate insufficient lubrication.
Will oil dirty my motorcycle?
- If installed correctly, significantly less than with chain spray. A light mist on the rim can be wiped off easily.
My motorcycle is dirty with oil after installation – what should I do?
- Causes:
- Dosage set too high
- Nozzle installed incorrectly
- Chain not cleaned or not pre-lubricated
- Nozzle cut too short or wrong nozzle used
- Wrong oil
Can I use a different oil?
- We recommend BEROTEC oil. Other oils are possible, but do not use organic/vegetable oils. Solvents are prohibited.
Can I use a dual nozzle?
- Single-sided application is sufficient due to capillary action.
- Dual nozzles can drip afterwards, draw in air, or be mechanically more susceptible.
- In rain, dirt, or heavy off-road use, a dual nozzle offers advantages.
