Chain oiler for the Ducati Multistrada 1200

Installation report by Andrea Celetti

Ducati Multistrada 1200 – year of manufacture 2018

6 sections 6 photos

This is how Andrea Celetti solved the installation – unfortunately we cannot guarantee that it works correctly, as we were not able to check the installation ourselves.

Oil reservoir 60 ml

Under the pillion seat; drill a hole in the plastic seat support for the hose to pass through.

Metering valve

Under the rider’s seat, with double-sided tape.

Nozzle

Dual nozzle installed with a home-made stainless steel bracket (more stable), fixed to the holes for the original chain guard. Hoses routed next to the swingarm and, together with the shock absorber cable, to the opposite side, then up under the rider’s seat together with the cylinder head temperature sensor cable.

Switched 12 V supply

I removed the USB plug because I never used it, and connected the red and the white-black wire together. I wired the MOFESSOR to the USB power supply (I checked the 12 V beforehand with a digital voltmeter) through a specific connector (the light grey one), purchased separately.

Rain switch

Screwed on the left-hand side, behind the hand guard and the brake lever mount.

Control unit

Under the pillion seat, with double-sided tape.
