Chain oiler for the Triumph Street Triple 765 RS
Installation report by Blumi
Triumph Street Triple 765 RS – year of manufacture 2024
This is how Blumi solved the installation – unfortunately we cannot guarantee that it works correctly, as we were not able to check the installation ourselves.
Oil reservoir 60 ml
Under the pillion cover on the right side (in the direction of travel). Remove the rear side panels as well as the centre seat bridge. On the seat bridge, release the lock for the pillion cover and pull apart the connector of the USB port. The oil reservoir is secured with cable ties. No variable reservoir vent fitted.
Metering valve
Under the pillion cover on the left side (in the direction of travel), above the housing of the charcoal canister. The metering valve is secured with a cable tie. The inlet of the valve points to the right side of the machine (towards the oil reservoir), the outlet to the left side.
Nozzle
Rear sprocket, outer side. Nozzle fixed to the chain guard with a clamp and a cable tie. Hose runs under the swingarm, over the left footpeg to the bracket of the regulator/rectifier, up between the main frame and the subframe, behind the fuel tank past the battery on the side, in the subframe to the valve. A heat protection sleeve was retrofitted as a precaution.
Switched 12 V supply
Under the seat on the right side (in the direction of travel), next to the battery. The plug-in fuse holder was removed from the permanent positive (fusing via an auxiliary device). The black-white control wire and the permanent positive are connected to an auxiliary device (Healtech Thunder Box). It supplies the accessory circuit with power only when the engine is running.
Rain switch
On the left-hand side of the handlebar (in the direction of travel). The cable is routed over the handlebar along the other cables on the left side of the machine, past the fuel tank on the left through a narrow “cable duct” or beneath a small side panel at the tank, and then over the subframe to the left of the battery to the control unit.
