Installation report by Bernadette
Yamaha XSR 900 – year of manufacture 2020
oil reservoir 60 ml
Under the seat, in the storage compartment. A hole had to be drilled in it for the hose connection. Secured with just one cable tie, as the hole determines the positioning.
metering valve
There is a little space on the left next to the battery – the foam that holds the battery in place may have to be trimmed slightly. The small bolt acts as a stop so that the valve cannot slip upwards.
nozzle
In the usual place at the rear sprocket; there is a flat bonding surface on the underside of the swingarm. The hose then runs along the inner reinforcement plate to the rear wheel cover.
switched 12 V supply
Tapped at the grey two-pin connector with a branch connector. The brown wire carries +12 V when the ignition is on. The connector must be insulated for operation!

oil reservoir 60 ml
The oil reservoir is attached with the cable ties to the left SW-Motech side rack.
metering valve
The metering valve was fitted with two cable ties to a helmet holder that is bolted to the left pillion footpeg.
nozzle
The nozzle was attached to the gear position sensor with the supplied clamp and bent so that the oil drops fall onto the front sprocket.
switched 12 V supply
Tapped at the licence plate light (blue wire coming from the light). The wire is on the rear right side under the seat.
