KTM 1050 Adventure – year of manufacture 2016
oil reservoir 60 ml
Mounted lying flat on the tool bag, with an additional vent hose.
metering valve
Positioned under the left side panel, giving very short runs from the oil reservoir to the metering valve and essentially the same temperature level as well: oil reservoir – filler hose – metering valve
nozzle
The nozzle was attached to the fin and the hose routed in view, so that breaks or air bubbles can be located quickly (based on experience with six Scottoilers on eight or nine motorcycles).
switched 12 V supply
ACC1/ACC2 were used for the positive supply; the negative was tapped at the pillion seat catch (the negative can be seen in the photo with the oil reservoir).
rain switch
Mounted on the right side of the handlebar, on the mirror mount; the cable was routed between the upper fuel tank cover and the right tank side panel (which had to be removed for this), so the tank itself did not have to come out.
control unit
The control unit was also integrated into the tool compartment. Overall I made a point of fitting everything as clearly as possible and of creating as few additional sources of error as possible.

At the front sprocket – fitted to the rear bolt of the front sprocket cover with the supplied clamp and routed upwards along the frame with the heat protection sleeve.
