oil reservoir 60 ml
Under the seat, on the right behind the fuse box (with the variable reservoir vent fitted in addition – simply led away to the rear right into the panel). Secured to the rear cross brace with two cable ties. A little foam stuck underneath at the front.
metering valve
To the left of the oil reservoir, secured under the diagnostic connector with double-sided tape. In addition, the retaining clip of the connector also holds the metering valve in this position (see also photo 1 under “reservoir position”).
nozzle
Directly behind the front sprocket. Hose and nozzle secured to the swingarm cross tube with a cable tie.
switched 12 V supply
Between the oil reservoir and the metering valve, under the cross brace, there is an option connector for accessories. The switched positive was tapped here from the purple wire with a standard crimp ferrule for cable ends (with a narrow tongue).
rain switch
On the left-hand side of the handlebar. The cable was led down the handlebar along the clutch cable. Then routed to the rear, close to the wiring harness under the fuel tank on the left side of the machine, to the control unit.

Honda CB500X – year of manufacture 2018
oil reservoir 60 ml
The standard oil reservoir is attached with two cable ties to the cable running to the electrical connector. It is additionally secured with a large cable tie and two drilled holes.
metering valve
The metering valve is simply laid in on the left side without additional fixing. Flow direction to the rear, so the oil reservoir at the front and the nozzle side at the rear
switched 12 V supply
Tapped at the connector to whose cable the oil reservoir is already attached. For this I shortened the cable accordingly and soldered on a connector pin, which I then joined to the switched contact in the connector.
rain switch
Attached on the left-hand side of the handlebar to the upper mounting bolt of the mirror mount. The cable was routed downwards along the clutch lever.

oil reservoir 60 ml
Under the rear fairing, crosswise to the direction of travel. Reservoir vent pointing up to the right as seen in the direction of travel, so that the oil reservoir does not run out when the machine is on the side stand.
metering valve
Attached in front of the seat mount with hook-and-loop tape. (with the heat protection sleeve fitted in addition)
switched 12 V supply
Tapped at the white accessory connector (shown here before plugging in). It is easy to reach under the seat, below the seat mount.
