oil reservoir 60 ml

The oil reservoir is secured at the rear right on the frame tube with two cable ties. I placed the T-piece with the filler connection directly in front of the reservoir and let the heavily shortened filler connection rest on the inside of the fender. The seat only just fits on the frame when the stabiliser bracket is installed. When fitting the pannier racks, the reservoir is simply turned down a little.

metering valve

I fixed the valve to the brake fluid reservoir with 3M Dual Lock™ hook-and-loop fastener. At the end face I fitted a piece of the self-adhesive foam rubber, so that the valve is softly cushioned towards the inside. The flow direction is such that the inflow comes in a curve from the rear and then flows fairly directly to the outlet.

nozzle

I placed the nozzle at the rear sprocket. The bracket is glued to the inside of the swingarm. For that it was first necessary to clean the inside of the swingarm thoroughly of all grease residues. When fitting the fixing for the nozzle tube on the inner side of the swingarm, you have to make sure there is still enough room when a new chain is fitted and the spindle sits further forward. I routed the oil hose once over the swingarm. That way I can check whether oil actually arrives there.

switched 12 V supply

I tap the connection for the switched positive at the white connector of the USB socket with a “branch connector”. On the Euro 4 models this connector is located directly behind the battery.

rain switch

The supplied mounting plate is laser-cut. So I first sanded the plate and filed it a little slimmer around the bolt hole. After that the plate fits into the handlebar switchgear.

control unit

I shortened the power cables of the control unit. The fuse in the wiring harness naturally has to stay. I equipped the connection for permanent positive and ground with a CTEK connector, since I have installed a CTEK socket anyway for charging the battery. Of course the connection can also be made directly at the battery. The remaining cables from the rain switch and the cable from the valve are bundled and stowed in front of the battery.

oil reservoir 60 ml

Oil reservoir mounted on the subframe, on the right under the seat, with the variable reservoir vent in addition.

metering valve

Metering valve on the right frame tube above the chain and below the side panel, facing inwards. Cable tie 1 around the frame tube, cable tie 2 around the metering valve and a spacer of the inner panel, which holds the component absolutely firmly in position.

nozzle

The nozzle is attached to the inner area of the swingarm at the rear and applies the oil to the rear sprocket

switched 12 V supply

Tapped at the horn: both wires are black, so I tried the inner one – it works and is barely visible.

rain switch

The rain switch was attached on the left-hand side of the handlebar to the switchgear cable with a cable tie; unfortunately it did not fit under the Allen bolt

control unit

The control unit sits under the seat, where it is also connected to the battery; the long cables have been neatly coiled up with cable ties.
